South River Vineyard is a 45-acre vineyard estate that straddles South River Road.
The farm is planted to 30 acres of premium vineyards that include Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah.
For generations, Lake Erie fruit farmers have prized farmland with a view of the Lake for its frost-free springs and long growing season.
In the fall of 1998, the old concord vineyards that covered the farm were bulldozed and the land was leveled and drained and prepared for new, premium vines.
Since then we have filled South River with 25 miles of vineyard lanes. At harvest each year, fruit is sorted and graded with only the ripest fraction being saved for wine making at South River. The balance is trucked off to other wineries within the Grand River Valley.

Old church converted to a wine bar and picnic area. Have added covered picnic areas. Can bring your own food to go with some of the areas most outstanding wine.
