Water Street Tavern is a favorite amongst both Kent State students and the Kent community. A perennial winner of Scene Best College Bar award, Water Street Tavern has also been selected as Playboy.com's College Bar of the Month and featured in Nightclub & Bar Magazine, The Plain Dealer, Akron-Beacon Journal, Record Courier, and more.
Water Street Tavern offers patrons three full bars, a rooftop patio, a stage for live music, lots of HDTV's for viewing games, and much more. Russo's Grille, a full kitchen located within the Water Street Tavern will be opening soon. Water Street Tavern is the Official Post-Game Party Headquarters for Kent State Athletics and often hosts after-parties for Comedians, bands, and speakers at Kent State.

Water Street tavern has the best patrons in the world! They are extremely good looking, highly intelligent, and love to booze! WTS offers so much in regards to atmosphere that patrons have been known to be very loyal. In fact, their most famous patron is rumored to be traveling from out of state just to witness the unprecedented advances WTS has made in watering-hole-induced-happiness! The Water Street Tavern always has extremely nice, funny bartenders and door guys on staff that it makes the experience of getting drunk that much more enjoyable. In my opinion, there's nothing like watching a bartender dance around while making your drink, just to try to make you laugh.
Only bar in Kent with the blue and gold Kent State pride. The hottest, nicest and fastest bartenders. Cleanest bathrooms that I have ever seen in a bar. They always have great shows, events and drink specials. The owner is an awesome guy who is active in the community as well as the university. He holds university events and charity events, such as a bachelor auction in which he auctioned off his male employees with 100 percent of the proceeds going to Big Brothers and Sisters of Portage County. The bar is always a good time and the staff is so welcoming and friendly. It is, quite honestly, the best bar I have ever been to--and trust me I've been to many bars ;O)
